Need help fixing quality when going from .JPG to .GIF and back to .JPG???

So i changed my products pictures from .JPG to .GIF because this is my first time building a ecommerce site with Zen Cart and i didn't know i was able to use .JPG i thought gif was the only one possible. When i converted my photos to gif they became ugly and grainy, but i now know i can use jpg is there any way to bring that quality back so its not so grainy anymore? if any one could help it would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Probably not. The way gifs are created is a lot different from jpgs, and once you've lost the additional information from the jpg, it isn't there anymore to build a new image.

Do you have or can you get the original jpgs ?

wait nevermind thts right we took the camera back and got a new one with a whole new sd card

So you'll need to take the pictures all over again? Bummer.
Didn't you save them anywhere on your computer before changing them to gifs? That is rule number one: always save the original of an image somewhere safe before playing with a copy of it for use.

I often find that .png images give small file sizes while retaining most of the quality. YMMV
