Default Can't restore my database backup

    Hi there,

I recently followed this advice to backup my zencart database.

    https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=103

When I tried to restore the database in myphpadmin, I couldn't. Are these instructions still relevant to zen cart 1.3.9h?

    Thanks !!!

Those instructions are relevant for current versions of Zen Cart. But if your database is too big for you to upload or if your hosting company is unable to handle the backup datafile, then you'll have to sort out those inabilities with your hosting company.

I do note that your comment "when I tried to restore, I couldn't" is extremely vague. Can't help you much with that. Hard to tell whether you found it difficult to click on the "Go" button in phpMyAdmin, or whether your computer's screen was suddenly too bright and blinded you, or whether the server blew up when you did the restore, or what.

    Sorry Dr. Byte,

That was a pretty weak description on my part. I was able to save the database file to my harddrive, but when I tried to import the file into myphpadmin, I got an error.

It's possible that I did something wrong with regards to the exporting options the first time. I mainly just wanted to know if I should still use those instructions.

In the near future, I'll try making a backup of my database and attempt to restore it onto another server that I have. If I get an error message, I'll post it here.

    Thanks again!
