    help question Disabling CC option

    Hi there,

I'm running v1.3.9h for a customers shopping cart and he will only be accepting cheque / money orders and Paypal (along with credit cards through Paypal).

On the check-out page of this cart there are currently 3 options: cheque / money order, credit card and Paypal.

How do I remove the credit card option? I've included a .jpg of it - the area I highlighted in yellow is what I want gone.

Thanks for your help everyone! Will donate to Zen-Cart. Despite a few small technical issues I've had, which I'm sure are due to me being new to it, I'm really happy. Glad I found it!

    Thanks.

I should have added that in there, I've got

    Authorize.net (SIM)
    Authorize.net (AIM)
    Authorize.net (eCheck)
    Cash on Delivery
The Zen Cart FREE CHARGE CARD
FirstData / LinkPoint / YourPay API
    Paypal Website Payments Standard API

    all unchecked / off.

Only Check / money order, Paypal website payments Pro (Canada) and Paypal Express Checkout are checked / on.

What should I change to remove the credit card fields as stated above?

    Thanks again!

Don't just uncheck the payment modules you don't want - "remove" each of them using the button at the top of the box.

Thanks, but I don't see a remove button in the box beside any of the items I have disabled / unchecked. The only thing there is an Install button with a green plus icon.

The only place I see a remove link is in the boxes beside the items I have active / checked.

OK, I wasn't certain what you meant by "unchecked". You mentioned Paypal website payments Pro (Canada) - does that process credit cards on your site? That would require the cc input fields.

Sorry, when I said unchecked I meant disabled.

The Paypal website standards pro (Canada) does accept credit cards but I'm sure Paypal has its own area for that.

The one that I highlighted in the image above seems like it belongs to something else. I found this error because a customer tried to buy something with their credit card and sent this message to me

"I tried to use my credit card to pay. I filled in the credit
card number and the shipping info and clicked "Confirm Order" it sends me back to step two, where i fill out the credit card info. I double checked it and everything is filled out right. I later switched and used the credit card through my paypal and it worked, just not directly from the card."

Since my client has no desire to accept credit cards through any way other than Paypal, there's no sense in having that middle option (credit card) in the check-out area because it won't work. That's why I'd like to get rid of it.

Thanks for trying to help! I really appreciate it.

I know that Website Payments Pro for the US is a (Paypal) merchant gateway designed to process credit cards as if your site was handling them. So exactly which version(s) of Paypal do you have active on your site? What kind(s) of Paypal account do you have?
If you have activated the WPP module but don't have that kind of account, that would be the problem.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for bringing that up.

I went looking further into my Paypal settings and read up on Paypal about the difference between website payments pro and standard. I downgraded from pro to standard, and uninstalled / removed the express check-out. (I wasn't allowed to run express check-out and standard at the same time).

When I went back to my shopping cart page, the middle CC field that I didn't want was gone. Now only the cheque / money order and Paypal options are there, and if you click on the Paypal option, you can pay by CC from there or just Paypal.

Thanks for all of your help and advice! Really appreciate it

    Stella
