Ok I found the problem, at least on my end after uninstalling and reinstalling everything a few times. How I found it was I went into my cPanel and phpmyadmin and was looking to at least see if the info was being put in my database. I found it was actully put under it's own Configuration Group.

So instead of it actually being where the instructions say it is, it isn't. Instructions in Read Me, Configure Module #1 says it is here - Configuration > Layout Settings.

Mine is actually UNDER the Configuration Drop down labeled Editable Centerboxes

When I click that link I find the 2 configuration options.
"Middleboxes - Number to Display" (default setting is 3)
"Middleboxes - Position" (default setting is off)

Ok after finally getting mine working now and looking at the various options, I am really liking this addon. Thank you for your work on this fantastic addon.

I do have one question and please pardon me as I am not a coder by any means, but I am wondering how difficult it would be to have the boxes in rows instead of columns? In other words instead of having the 3 boxes spanning across in 3 different columns, have them span 3 rows down.

Thank you for your time and help and once again thank you for your work on this addon.

Honestly I don't know.. The layout is mostly controlled by the stylesheet.. I haven't looked at options for different layouts..

I have zecart1.3.9h, and lots of mods, including ceon uri mapping, column layout grid pro, Ep, super orders, IH2 and some others. MySQL 5.0.27 and php 5.2.13.

    I'd love some help,
    Thanks.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Ahhh ok. I wasn't sure how it was controlled and since I don't know much about css and how to code I think I will leave this alone and leave it to others who have experience in this area.

I just thought it may be an idea for later down the road as it is an awesome addon as is.

    Thank you for your response.

You're welcome.. Perhaps someone else will contribute an idea how to do this and submit it as a new add-on.. This add-on was designed for editable boxes to be displayed in rows on the main page.

The CSS to change the row of boxes to a column should be very simple. Post a link to an example and I'll give it a whirl. A few of my mods were originally designed as straight lists, and I found they could be turned into dropdown or flyout menus with just a few style rules.

    Hi gjh42,

Thanks for your interest and help. This is one of my wholesalers I deal with. I know they are using E-Commerce similar to ZenCart. If you look in the center area it looks similat to what I am looking for. Doesn't have to be exactly like it. I would like to have the 3 row column or close too it.

Again thank you very much in advance.

    Hi,

Been trying for days to get this to work Without showing the Featured/What's New/Specials - I would like to just have the centerboxes with my custom categories.

What happens is when I turn off Featured, the centerboxes with this mod go away. I'm trying to use 'display: none' for the featured but that also takes away the modded centerboxes.

Any idea how to get around this?

    Thanks so much,

    Julia

    Hello,

I'm not sure what info is pertinent for you to help me so please let me know if you need more info to answer my question!

This mod has solved a big problem for me and I think it's wonderful, but I cannot manage to get my centerboxes lined up the way my client wants them.

I have used this mod to allow a centerbox to contain a rotating jscript advert, but the main page needs to be structured like this:

    Editable Centerbox (jscript Advert)
    New Products
    Mainpage content

I've changed as many options as I know of, but I cannot get the new/editable centerbox on top, the new products in the middle, and the main page content on the bottom... I can achieve almost any other combination, but not the one I need! :) Right now I have:

    Editable Centerbox (jscript Advert)
    Mainpage content
    New Products

I cannot get the bottom two to swap like I had them prior to this sweet mod.

    Please help! :)
