doing it by hand is not an option, this is best way to make errors, what is really confusing to me is the field "rewards_points" in both table rewards_customers_points and reward_status_track.

    looks like reward_status_track = customers_points_pending (osc)

but in OSC there is only one field customers_points (i assume it becomes rewards_points in Zen) not 2 like in Zencart....

    did you figure this out?

In Customers > Group Reward Redeem > Enter global points ratio, change the value in the box from 0.0100 to 0.1000 and this should do what you want (I hope)

It depends on your settings. Go to Catalog > Reward Points and look at the box ot the top right corner. If it says "Set Global Reward Point ratio: 5.0000", then it's 5% of the product value. You may change that with the Edit button below.

In any case, create a test customer and place a test order. then go to Customers > Reward Points and see if the points are earned or pending. If they are pending, edit the customer and move the points to earned.

Next, place another test order for this customer. When you go to checkout, you will see the value of earned points in money and you will be asked how many of them you want to redeem. Whatever number of points you select will be converted to cash and will be deducted in the next screen.

It's not difficult. If you place various test orders and play around, you will get used to how it works.

Okay thanks! What if I want it to be 0.5000. What would that equal out to be?

Okay I think I got it. I have mine set to 0.5000 and I have 512 points in my account and it says the value is $5.12.

I seen this on someones site "Reward Points are redeemed at a value of $0.01 for every point. This means that 1000 points are worth $5.00 towards a purchase." How would I word this to fit what I have above?

    Thanks!

Don't confuse the number of points awarded per $ spent with their value when redeemed.

Your 512 points valued at $5.12 means that each point is worth $0.01 but the statement "Reward Points are redeemed at a value of $0.01 for every point. This means that 1000 points are worth $5.00 towards a purchase" is wrong because, if points are redeemed at $0.01 as stated, then the 1000 points are worth 1000 x $0.01 = $10.00 (not $5.00).
