$0 Download - waiting on payment

In working with a Museum, they have some documents that will be available for download and will cost the customer $0, nada, zilch.

Got the products set up properly (according to the tutorials), I can order same, goes through the several pages and then on the confirm Order page, it says "NOTE: Downloads are not available until payment has been confirmed"

It also shows all zeros for cost. How can I set it up for immediate download. After all, it doesn't cost a thing. Should be available.

Any suggestions?

If it's saying that then you've not set up the products correctly ( https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=71 ), and/or you've not enabled the FreeCharger payment module and set its order-status setting to Processing.

Hello,
I'm having the same probleme than Popshop... I double check my attibutes and Freecharger is working too but when costumers order FREE PRODUCTS, they don't see DL links unless I manually (and it's a pain when you have 25 orders a day) each orser status to "Processing"... Anyone can help better than the "laconic"post above..thanks a lot

Is this with Orders that *only* have the Free Downloads?

Or, is this with Orders that have *both* Free Downloads and other Products?

What Payment Module is being used on these Orders?

What is the setting for the Order Status on each of the Payment Modules?

What are the settings in the Configuration ... Attribute Settings ... set to right now?

I FOUND THE SOLUTION....... so simple and yet.
In admin go to --> Modules
in Modules go to --> Payment
In Payment select --> The Zen Cart FREE CHARGE CARD and click Edit
Where it says : Set Order Status --> Select "Processing[2]"
Et Voila.... It works!
I realized it had nothing to do with Attributes/product configuration because the order was valid and had no error, was just awaiting payment confirmation wich cannot happens since it's free... it had to be from payment module.
I guess by default The Zen Cart FREE CHARGE CARD is set on "Pending[1]". But I believe it should be "Processing[2]" by default in order to avoid to process every order manually ;)
