    Default Changing Element Position

    Hi,

How do I change the layout on the main page? I know how to tweak the settings from the .css stylesheet, but want to know how to actually shift the position of an element. For example, I want to take the #navMainWrapper from above the header to below. I really don't know where to make the changes.

I am sorry if this is a stupid question but I am very new to HTML and CSS. I use zen cart 1.3.9

    Thanks!

Alter via tpl.header.php of your current template.
    i.e
    /includes/templates/nameofyourtemplate/common/tpl_header.php

Hmm... depending on what you're doing, this may be really simple or very complicated. Do you have a mastery of CSS positioning? This might be a handy tool for your situation. It sounds like you'll definitely need to start my editing your CSS and changing the values. In the CSS document, you'll be able to manage all your styles. Zen Cart is pretty good about having everything governed by simple and clear CSS as opposed to in-line styles.

Thanks for your offer to help! Although, I am by no means experienced enough in CSS, I am able to manage. You mentioned some tool to help in CSS positioning. It would definitely help. where can I get it?

    Cheers!

By 'tool', I was referring to the ability to understand CSS. I was talking about the skill. :)

However, there may be some tools that can help. Dreamweaver can create your CSS for you, but it may be difficult to use in a developed program like Zen Cart.
