Setting up site like deviantART?

Hi. I'm setting up a site for a client similar to deviantART but not as big and extensive. it will pertain to one art genre and members will be able to upload their artwork and that artwork would then be available to be purchased by others.

Members will upload artwork, people will purchase it, my client will receive the payment and then pay the artist, and the artist will need to see stats on the sales of their artwork.

I'm thinking of either going from the direction of using a photo gallery script and add the cart functionality to that, or going with a shopping cart script that has front-end user capabilities of uploading products to their account, being able to track the sales, etc. The artist members won't be accepting payment, just need to be able to view stats.

Does Zen Cart allow member front-end uploading and stat tracking respective to each member?
