I just couldnt get it to work with the coding the installation checker issued.

The installation checker gives you an example rule for a store that has its own hosting package and that isn't shared between many sites as yours is, so yes, you did indeed have to adjust the rule accordingly. :)

Easily enough done as you've seen.
