If you see "Buy 5 get 10% off" then this is the marketing text for Quantity Discounts, not Better Together.

Your other question suggests you may not be clear about what a master category is. Although categories have subcategories, products only have one master category, and only master category numbers may be used with Better Together. If you have category 5 with subcategories 6 and 7, you can only use 6 and 7 in Better Together; category 5 will not be the master category of any product (since it contains subcategories).

Thank you I reset my master categories and it looks like it works fine. Can I add to the discount text on the item page that discount taken at checkout?

we have better together and big chooser installed.

i want to do the following

I want to do buy £25 of products from ALL categories and get 50% off product X

can't quite work out the logic.

Since I have installed Better together+admin+center box + preview the add-on : jqzoom has stopped working....

I can't find one file that could have been overwritten by yours, could it come from the CJ loader?

Here's hoping for some inspiration/help...

I have installed Better Together on my store and am running some tests, but it is not working correctly and I'm unclear what I've missed. I have followed all the install and setup instructions, and looked on the forum.

The actual Better Together marketing text is appearing correctly on products in a given category for which I have then said another specific product will be FREE. So I used the cat_to_prod function. Whilst this is working ok, it all goes a bit funny on the check out page... I have the Reward Points Full Suite Add-On/Contrib running on my store (have had for a long time and it works fine), but the problem now is that the Reward Points being given are those of both products in the cart - including the one that is FREE, as a result of the Better Together reductions.

Has this issue been raised before and is there a recommended solution for Better Together when used in conjunction with the Reward Points Full Suit add-on?

I'm running Zen 1.3.9f.

Rewards Points doesn't know about Better Together. What you're seeing is the expected behavior.

There is no easy way for Rewards Points to deduce which products should and which should not attract points.

Ok Scott, I thought as much, but thought it best to check.

I assume the same is true then for FREE Shipping....? I.e. If the product which is being offered is FREE, but takes the order total over the FREE ship threshold, then ideally we wouldn't want the FREE Shipping to kick in as essentially they don't qualify... But the Order Total module doesn't know this, as it see the total order including the item which Better Together has discounted out.

It is a great contrib BTW.... We're just trying to work out how best to implement and roll it out on our store. We're desperate to get this in place as we're setting up some new promotions accross a whole category range.
