This happened to me, and I was told that this only shows products that have positive inventory. I do not use inventory, so all of my products had 0 for inventory. Once I ran a SQL statement to update all of my inventory to 500, then they all appeared in the Facebook catalog. This may be your issue as well.

Check some of the previous posts and someone listed a SQL statement you can run to update all of your inventory. Hope this helps.

The shop URL is set-up to point at your admin folder rather than the main shop e.g. it should point at :
http://www.wiccancottage.com/Shop/

Also please can you check that fb_browse.php is present in the Shop directory, as when the Facebook app is calling the data feed in this amended location, it is receiving a 404 Page not found error.

As for the stock issue, you no longer need to update the stock as the latest version of the App has a setting to display out of stock products, so zero quantity products will now appear.

Hello,

I have tried installing your new module, I have a security key and have added the app to my facebook page, filled in all the correct settings but Im unable to upload the fb_browse.php file to my root holder. Bluehost, hosts my site and I'm not sure why it wont upload?

Hi,

It could be because you are attempting to upload to the root of your hosting rather than the root of your website. The website root folder is often denoted by public_html folder on cPanel systems.

If this still doesn't work you may need to speak to bluehost, as I have not got any experience using them and I am not sure why it would not upload via ftp.

Hello! I tried to install sql patch in admin v. 1.9 , but I received this reply:
8 statements processed.
ERROR: Not possibile to insert configuration_key "" because it already exists.
Note: 1 statements ignored. See "upgrade_exceptions" table for additional details.

I tried to insert in in myphp, from Cpanel, but I do not know where to put it. I have 2 zencart sites and 2 different db.

Hi Marina

The system is reporting that the Plugin Key is already installed, please can you check if the configuration section "Facebook Catalog Browser" appears in the Zencart configuration menu, as it may have installed already.

If its not there or the contents of this section is blank (e.g. No Plug-in key), it maybe best if you try un-install script and then retry the install script via the Zencart admin.

As always we would remind you to make sure a database backup is taken prior to running any script just in case of any issues.

Holy Smokes! AWESOME mod, so glad I discovered this. Everything is up and running. One thing I noticed is that discounted products show the full retail price. Is there a way to show the sale price?

Hi,

Specials prices should work automatically based off the 'specials' system in Zencart admin i.e. Catalog -> Specials.

The system only displays specials in valid date range e.g. where the available date is in the past or none, and expiry is either none or in the future.

Unfortunately, when the system attempts to retrieve specials via the data-feed, none are returned. Also on your site if you request the default specials page (
http://www.pinkchalkfabrics.com/index.php?main_page=specials) no products are displayed.

I would recommend you check the admin section for specials and check that products are listed and they are in a valid date range.

Perhaps this has been addressed, but I am curious if this app still allows a status or message to be placed on the facebook page?

The app doesn't auto post anything, but you or your users can post/share products onto your own walls, by clicking the Facebook icon next to each of the products.

The post will automatically include product name, image and link to the product on your Zen-cart website, along with any comments the user wishes to add.
