Confirmed working mods in Zen Cart 1.5

Scheduled Events, Fual Slimbox, Encrypted Master Password, and Clyde's Cold Steel Template have be upgraded for 1.5.0.

Scheduled Events is the only one that is compatible with other versions.

As many Modules do not have a Support thread but they do have a Description on the Module download page, it is better to update the Module Description. Almost mandatory actually.

IMHO it would not be a waste of Moderator time as the Add Ons section is there for people using Zen Cart. And they are the people to be more concerned about. Chicken and the Egg situation.

Once I asked for and got a moderator to update a mod description because it contained outdated information. I didn't need to resubmit the mod to do this, and the description update was necessary as the outdated description was causing some confusion in the support thread (hence the reason I asked for the description change to begin with)

To your point, if the mod description is inaccurate and there is no support thread or even mods that are not actively being maintained by ANYONE (SSU comes to mind as an example of this kind of mod). In these cases the support thread as the sole source of information is inadequate.. PLUS information like this can get lost in a support thread... Sure people can and should search the thread, but we all know that people just won't always do this.. Why not update the mod description to CLEARLY state compatibility with v1.5.. What can that hurt?? In fact I daresay it will save a crapload of questions asking the same daggone thing, "is it compatibility?" over and over and over and over again..

I recall a thread where it was discussed as to whether Module Support thread on the Forum should be optional or mandatory. Although I was rooting for mandatory, general census of those posting in the thread (mostly mod developers) preferred optional. I've not yet submitted a module but I understand there is no requirement for a Support thread link. Some developers provide one in the Module description though, which is a nice touch.

I have a suggestion:
I note that this thread is more about what it should be, and how it should be done, than the actual list; thus while keeping this thread alive for developpers to post the verified mods, wouldn't it be nice to have a closed thread reporting just the list of the approved mods, where no one could post, but moderators will be able to update it.

It would be hard to find the right page with the list on this same thread.

I would recommend against this - some modules work like a charm as is, others need changes that are not backwards compatible. Updating your mod's support thread to indicate 1.5 compatibility would be the easiest thing.

This is getting to be a mess. I have notice some mods show updated but are they both Function and Security, backwards compatable etc....... I have seen some mods that show 1.3.8 but on the developer site show 1.5.0.
Set up like a spreadsheet where a check mark would show what has been completed/tested held in a sandbox area then moved to Addons and Contributed Modules when totally compatable. Also have a area where addon mods can be requested as needed for 1.5.0 update. This should help the developer, no point in spending time on update if no one needs it.

The Zen Cart team is currently working on ways to make it easier to update the descriptions for contributions in the Free Software Add Ons section.

Updated list. So it's clear, not all of these mods required an update to make them v1.5 compatible. So in the free downloads, they may not reflect that they are v1.5 ready. Devs are working on providing the contributor a means to update the mod description if the only change required is the add-on description or version compatibility.
