I'm having a similar problem. I cannot use the web services api at all. The error message is very helpful...
"Error in processing transaction."

I can't even proceed to the checkout page.

If I disable numinex's addon and change it to flat rate, it works perfectly.

I am using php 5.3 as required.

Please help!
