Hi balihr, I love your slideshow and I have been trying to get it work with no success

I installed the addon without any problem, configured it according to your documentation, loaded 3 images and this is what I see on my test site (http://s415710195.onlinehome.us/catalog/):

Sorry for long post! I found the problem and actually it has nothing to do with warnings

In Banner Manager I used image as well as HTML Text. Reading the notes I can't do that.

I know I have asked this before, but just wondered if anyone had any idea why the following is happening. I use the 10 slides but it always create an extra one which is blank so when the page is loaded, it kicks off with the blank 11th slide? if I remove a slide there will then be 10 slides not 9 and first is still blank? very strange. here is link to site

I have uploaded all files as per instructions. When I go to Zen Cart admin section > Tools->Install SQL Patches and copy/paste the install-v1.3.x.sql content and press Send, I get the following error...

Success 8 statements processed.
Error ERROR: Cannot insert configuration_key "" because it already exists
Warning Note: 1 statements ignored. See "upgrade_exceptions" table for additional details.

Then in Admin > Configuration > ZX Slideshow Configuration by ZenExpert

I have no options, just the headers Title, Value and Action.

I am using Zen Cart 1.3.9h

The only other modules I have installed at the moment are Dual Pricing, Editable Sidebox, Multilanguage EZ Pages and a Portuguese Language pack. None of the sql patches for them installed a configuration_key.

I have reverted to a backed up database and tried again but get the same error.

No one else has reported this problem, although I see most people are using zc1.5, do you have any ideas or suggestions as to what might be wrong, or what I might be doing wrong?

Ok, I am not sure what is going on, I tested installing this module on a fresh install of 1.3.9h and everything went fine. Since I am not that far into setting up the store, I will proceed from here and see if any of the previously installed modules effect the installation of this.

I will also change the code as per a previous post here, to allow categories to show on main page, as that is essential to the site.

If it's not too late, you might try to remove all entries from the database manually. Just open phpMyAdmin, search configuration and configuration_group tables for ZX and delete all entries that start with ZX (slideshow related). Then try installing the SQL patch as usual. You've probably tried installing it twice without uninstalling...

Hi balihr, thanks for replying. I did try that on the original database I have backed up (the one I was trying to install this patch on) and I can find no entries for ZX slideshow, and I get the same error when trying again, several times.

It is all working fine though as I have successfully started from scratch with the site on a live server rather than my own localhost and all the previous modules I had installed, have reinstalled without a hitch alongside ZX slideshow. I can only assume I had mucked something up previously lol
