    Apparently you didn't follow the instructions to the letter. If you did then you almost certainly wouldn't be having a problem.

    Alas, there is no way for *us* to know where you went wrong, but my guess is that you somehow managed to upload the files into the wrong location, OR you simply had a bad upload and one or more of the files are missing or incomplete.

    Try re-installing.

    Cheers

    the only thing I noticed is that some files after they were transfered over into the CORRECT folders ended up being a bit smaller. now I say single files. I did not LOOSE files. I transferred the same files and replaced to make sure it was infact ending up smaller after the transfer. not all files tho from ckeditor I transferred ended up being a bit smaller in size. The directions did not specify if I needed to change file permissions, which I have no idea if that would effect anything, but everything is in its correct folder. my admin folder is named zc_admin. in the instructions its reffering to admin as the folder name. also, it said this after the last instruction I floowed, and Im not sure wtf this means and if I need to do it.

    "1`(Recommended) You can also set your default editor choice via Admin->Configuration->My Store->HTML Editor (note: this may not take effect until you log in the next time)
    (Optional) You can change the folder in which the editor files live, by renaming the folder and adding the following line to your admin/includes/configure.php file:
    define('DIR_WS_EDITORS', 'the new name of your folder');
    If you are using an external add-in for uploading images or other content, then step 5 moves from optional to recommended."

    I figured if all the stuff was in the correct folders, it would show up in my admin pannel. I have re done this install like 5 times following the directions literally to a T. the only thing I can think of is that these directions are not including a critical step of some sort.

    Default Please, for the love of GOD HELP ME figure this out. ckeditor willnot show up.

    I have followed the instructions to a T. it is not showing up anywhere on my admin panel. the instructions refer to the folder as admin, where as mine is zc_admin. I didnt think that mattered since the files from ckeditor went into files in my zc_admin folder. I did not see how my admin folder name effected anything. so anyways, im not sure why ckeditor is not showing up in my admin pannel anywhere. under my store and html editor, it says none. these were the only directions that I thohught might effect something

    "(Note: If you've renamed your admin, rename the equivalent folder in this add-on before you upload it. If you haven't renamed your admin ... why not?)
    When you login to your admin area, select CKEditor from the list of editors on applicable pages.
    (Recommended) You can also set your default editor choice via Admin->Configuration->My Store->HTML Editor (note: this may not take effect until you log in the next time)
    (Optional) You can change the folder in which the editor files live, by renaming the folder and adding the following line to your admin/includes/configure.php file:
    define('DIR_WS_EDITORS', 'the new name of your folder');
    If you are using an external add-in for uploading images or other content, then step 5 moves from optional to recommended. "

    I did not understand what these directions ment, or if this block of text int eh directions was critical for getting ckeditor to show up in my admin pannel, but i thought i was fine with transfering the files to the correct folders.

    What version of Zen Cart are you running?

    Did you use version 3.7b of CKEditor from here?

    First never ever just rename your admin something_admin you might as well not bother (thats like leaving the keys in the ignition of your car when you leave it). the renamed admin should be something that does not indicate that it has anything to do with the admin of your site ie productimages or something along those lines. so when you upload the editor you would rename the admin folder productimages or whatever you've called your admin folder. Then it should install with no problems.

    OK, just tried it and it worked perfectly.

    One problem some people have is they try to do one file at a time. What you should do is transfer all of

    ckeditor-for-zencart-3.7b/admin

    to your (renamed) admin folder.

    Then all of ckeditor-for-zencart-3.7b/editors

    to the root of your cart (above admin).

    In all of these cases, of course retaining the folder structure under each of these folders.
