Add comments at checkout

Is there a way to add a comment field to the checkout page so that the customer can add some comments to their order?

In a stock Zencart installation, there are comment text boxes on both the checkout shipping and checkout payment pages. Exactly what are your requirements beyond those ?

I think those would work -- I inherited this site and I'm guessing the previous developer must have deleted those. I'm hoping it's a simple chunk of code that I can just put back in if I find it on the stock 1.3.9h template?

Search in Tools > Developers Toolkit for that text, to find the file where it is defined.
