Tell A Friend broken

Just noticed my 'tell a friend' is broken. Not certain when it went out to lunch so I really don't know what I did. Any suggestions?

Tell A friend can be used for SPAMMING

Check admin > catalog > product types > general > edit layout > Show Product Tell a Friend button

oh. I see. I guess the social media share buttons are enough to not warrant the security risks of tell a friend.

Allow me to re-phrase then...In 1.5, how do I strip tell a friend in a template that employs it? :)

It should obey the switch in the admin
If your template has hardcoded it - you will have to determine where in the files this exists
You might contact the template supplier - I'll bet that you have a template monster template

Nope. Been there, done that. I chose a picaflor azul template this time around.

It did obey the switch but one must ague; if it's been "removed" why is it still there ;)

So I take it that you are using version1.50
