Having a problem with mailbeez review reminder simple all pop ups are blank, this is also true for birthday greetings.
Thanks mailbeez for responding to my email...the cache directory shows a recurring error: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function rss_feed_link() in /home/public_html/includes/templates/lite_grey/common/tpl_footer.php on line 48
Also, in the mailbeez FAQ it mentions about blank pop ups, suhosin...create a file fix.php and add this: < ?php $_GET["module"] = $_REQUEST["module"]; ?>
Now when I add that, that exact code is displayed in the pop ups, and also at the top of the page /zencart/tools/mailbeez
    any ideas?

The error is not related to mailbeez. Can you confirm you have mailhive.php in you shop root? Are you able to open it in your browser?

Anyone??? The person i'm trying to help first installed mailbeez 3 weeks ago, she's been though every post on this forum before asking me for help. I got involved a week ago and got no further forward. It was 8 days ago when I first contacted this forum and emailed mailbeez, and i first got a response yesterday, but i had already tried the advice given before even contacting anyone. It's at the point now where the person who runs the shop has lost interest in mailbeez, and i'm trying my best here, but if there's no decent support for mailbeez then it's worrying that should anything else go wrong, it will take another 3 or 4 weeks just to get a response.
I'm going to have to just reccommend that she gives up on mailbeez, it simply doesn't work and support is terrible.

I'm really sorry you feel the support is terrible and that the software doesn't work. Of course, neither of those things are true, but I'm sorry you feel that way nonetheless.

Perhaps it would help you to remember that ZC and MailBeez are both open source FREE software that offer FREE support by VOLUNTEERS who take time to help support these products because they believe in them. Just as you and the person you are trying to help have busy productive lives - so do the rest of us. So please get your frustrations under control before coming to the forum and posting a rant. You catch more files with honey than with vinegar.

Now, having said that...I will remove my ZC forum poster hat and put on my MailBeez support hat.

You have been asked if mailhive.php is properly located in the shop root directory and you confirmed that it is.

You have been asked if you can browse to the file. You confirm that you can.

This, combined with the fact that the error you reported (Call to undefined function rss_feed_link() in /home/public_html/includes/templates/lite_grey/common/tpl_footer.php on line 48) has nothing at all to do with MailBeez and is clearly an indication that this store has other problems in need of resolution leads me to ask...what more can we do?

My recommendation is that you identify and resolve the issue causing that error message and then see if the blank pop-up issue still exists with MailBeez.

Try switching your friend's template to the ZC default theme. Does the problem with MailBeez still exist?

If so, please provide the following information:

    • What version of ZC is the store running?
    • What version of MailBeez is installed?
    • What other modules are installed?
    • Do any of those modules rewrite URLs?

Also, please be advised that I don't always receive notifications from this forum when there is a post (I should, but I don't). This is beyond my control.

For best support, please visit the live help desk at mailbeez.com and indicate that we've discussed this issue on the ZC forum so I can identify your issue without you having to once again type out what the issue is.
Go that extra mile, you never know what's at the end of the road

The issue is solved an was caused by a very restrictive configuration of the php security addon suhosin.
