What are you using to save your text file? Open office as Chadd recommended?

Did you set up some categories in your store and do the export Chadd recommended? What do you see there?

Excellent add-on - and "almost" does what I need, with one show-stopper exception!
I may be listed as a New Zenner, but have been using OSC since it began 14 years ago!

We have multiple systems that need to talk to each other to synchronize data - including our "composer" for products, and have to do the synchronization using the products_id, not the products_model.

The products_model "could", but seldom changes. The products_id (which also syncs to the POS for inventory) is the one constant!

Is there an easy way to force the products_id field to be respected and used as the products key?

I did not see your response.

When I download the "Full-EP2012Oct31...." none of the field names have quotes around them.

And the first few look like this:

    v_products_model,v_products_type,v_products_image,

Even if you use quotes, do not put the comma that separates fields inside the quote mark.

    Ok, I give up...

I just can't seem to get this to work.

If I download the Basic Products Attributes (basic single-line), then modify the size in v_products_options_values_name_1 (i.e. default is S,M,L) by adding a comma and then XL, then import it back with EP4, the attribute of the product won't change.

I got the radio buttons in attributes for each size but if I add it to the CSV and then upload it, nothing happens.

Anyone can help me out ? I'm really about to bash my brains in with the keyboard (broke the mouse already).

    Thanks.

So, assuming model number 1001, 0 for radio button, and the attribute name "Size", is this what you have?:

    "1001","0","Size","S,M,L,XL"

    Code:
    v_products_model	v_products_options_type	v_products_options_name_1	v_products_options_values_name_1
Chilot Acanta Black	2	Culoare	Negru
Chilot Acanta Black	2	Marime	S/M,L/XL,L
Marime means Size and Culoare means Color (Negru = Black) because it's in Romanian. Could that be the problem ?

Thank you for your quick response.

I've got two ZenCart shops setup. One is running 1.38a, the second is running 1.51. I have EasyPopulate4 installed and working on both shops. I am trying to export from the 1.38a shop and import the CSV into the 1.51 shop, but nothing is happening. I get a success message, but nada! I've tried doing a complete product export/import and also starting with just the categories. Still, nothing. Any idea where I might have gone wrong? Thanks!

No. It is more likely a problem is quote marks and commas, none of which we are seeing is your post. Send me a zipped version of what you are uploading. I'll pm you.
