Hi Bryan,

Not so hard.

You could look at single listing template and see how that module handles it.

Off the top of my head you are going to look at

includes/templates/yours/templates/tpl_modules_featured_products_default.php

and

includes/templates/modules/featured_products.php

Depending on how rushed you are I will work through it with you but to be honest that just is not going to happen for a couple of weeks :-)

No, that won't be the reason.

It will be an encoding issue ( black magic )

Basically that line of code is checking a line of code. Yeah, that is right. Convoluted but right.

You could read http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3...ce-in-argument for a bit more info. And it looks like there is an issue in the way it is handled on more recent versions of php.

So, I would guess it has to do with some strangeness in some of your language defines perhaps and the encoding and the odd behaviour of htmlentitiies.

IS this compatible with column_layout_grid_2_3_1, flexible_product_listing1_0 & Dynamic Filter?

It replaces column grid and does quite a lot of extra stuff.

Flexible product listing - not sure. Doesn't that just let you adjust the contents of the cells when you are in 'row' mode? If so then why would you want it if you are in 'column' mode. I am really asking a question here rather than being snooty :-)

Dynamic Filter - I think so because I have sites that use both but can't remember if I needed to adjust anything. I'd have to look at that. I think that if you want dynamic filter on specials, featured, new and all then it might need some tweaking.

Kevin, I know that you have those mods installed already and to be honest have never tried to simply overwrite them with this mod. Which is probably due to the fact that I wrote this one so always just use it.

You never are.

Reason why I used this mod was because it was easier to change / move around the description, prices and etc.

It would be great to have the dynamic filter, but if it's not functional it is not that important as there are not that many New, Special and or Featured products!

But I would love to see the New, Special and or Featured pages column-wise vs. just seeing them as rows.

Well, if you have a test site I'd try just overwriting what you have with this but I suspect that that might cause a bit of mess. So, I definitely would not do that on a live site.

The proper way to do it would be to uninstall flexible product listing because I don't think you need it if you are using columns rather than rows. Then uninstall column grid. Then uninstall dynamic filter. Then install SNAF. Then re-install dynamic filter and see what happened.

I seem to remember that dynamic filter makes changes to includes/index_filters/default_filter.php which would need to be merged with SNAF. ( Or you could use the dynamic filter version of it and disable the dropdown filters in SNAF ) So, yes I think that the two mods are going to need a bit of work to play nice together.

not to bring up a "sore" or "old" issue but:

I think their may be a security issue with the zip file in the download section not only did I get the following error:

\installationFiles\YOUR_ADMIN . . . . . . . blah, blah, blah is either a read only,system, or hidden file.

and

\installationFiles\includes . . . . . blah, blah, blah is either a read only,system, or hidden file.

and

also requires a PASSWORD

however I did download from this thread and all worked.
