ZX Slideshow support thread

Downloaded and installed your great Slideshow today on my german Zencart 1.5 test Environment at home.

But there is a Problem with Internet-Explorer 9 and 10 (maybe older versions too, don´t know):
using the examble of http://awesomemoviestuff.com/ I can declare:

e.g. Firefox, Opera... the links will work and the target sites are shown,
Internet-Explorer (testing Version 9 and 10): no link is shown

source code is ok, so why the links are not working in MS-IE?:

I just installed the ZX Slideshow. It appears to be having a problem maintaining a consistent image height. I have two images 700x257. The first display of the image the display width is correct. However every display after the first the height is reduced and only a partial display of the image. Has anyone had a problem like this?

Unfortunately, I don't have a solution at the moment, but do know what's causing it. You're using a fluid width theme and, although the slider is responsive, in reality it's not because it's limited by Zen Cart's native Banner Management system and that's what needs to be tweaked. I don't have the time to do it, but it's on my to-do list for future improvements.

For all those using fluid width templates: there's no other solution but to degrade to the older version of ZX Slideshow (v1.0) and use fixed width slides until I build the solution to utilize the responsive capabilities of the module. I don't have a release date, so thank you for your patience.

This is actually a well known bug with Nivo Slider... Please download the attached file, extract it and replace the js file with the one on your site (in your case it's in includes/templates/classic/jscript directory).

MS-IE needs the last 3 lines too, see latest Download vers. 3.2 from http://dev7studios.com/nivo-slider/

Now MS-IE can follow links.

Hi everyone, I wonder if someone can help.
I have recently installed zx slide show but nothing is appearing when I set zx slideshow to true. I have named the banners slide1, slide 2 etc but nothing seems to appear. All that has happened is that the image on the right of the home page (girl in red dress) has shifted to the right and made the page wider (you will notice that the main text now extends past the right hand margin).

Really all I want to do is have either the image of the red dress or the corset to fade into other images that I choose every couple of seconds.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm having an issue with MS-IE. The slideshow Caption opacity is set to 0 in admin and I've gone in to the index_home.css and set all the Opacities to 0 as well but the Caption is still showing at 100% (black) in IE. It's fine (invisible) in FF and Chrome.
Any thoughts please.

I had a previous version installed and uploaded all of the new files. Now when I try to install the sql patch, all I get is

WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again.

I ran the uninstall patch and it processed. But I still get the same error when trying to re-install the new patch.

Thanks for that, but it seems like a lot of stuff that's over my head and would take a lot of time to troubleshoot. The previous version was working until I tried the update.

Besides, there's also an issue of the slideshow covering over the center content with no easy fix unless you're adept at moving banner locations. So alas, I think i'll just go back to a simplistic, generic, dependable java slider.
