In Google WMT You can add several sitemaps. For example, if we use WordPress SEO plugin we can add 2 sitemaps to Google WMT:
    http://stickerstocker.co.uk/sitemap.xml
    http://stickerstocker.co.uk/blog/sitemap_index.xml

    Hi ,

I installed this module but I can't seem to see any Google XML Sitemap under Tools.
    Any idea why?
I did everything in the readme.

Ok I saw that the patch does not have something like google xml file and in page 11x someone explains it's been left there since an earlier version...so I assume it should be ok as it is.

I have an issue with the w3c validator:
Warning No DOCTYPE found! Checking XML syntax only.

The DOCTYPE Declaration was not recognized or is missing. This probably means that the Formal Public Identifier contains a spelling error, or that the Declaration is not using correct syntax, or that your XML document is not using a DOCTYPE Declaration.

Validation of the document has been skipped, and a simple check of the well-formedness of the XML syntax has been performed instead.

How can I change so that the validator returns with no problems?

I understand.. I think the OP was trying to avoid having to install an XML mod for Zen Cart AND installing another one for WordPress.. I gathered he was looking for a way to use ONE XML sitemap module/plugin to capture both WordPress and Zen Cart pages.. My suggestion would gt him there..

If the XML is correct and the search engines read it, then you have no problem.. what else are you trying to achieve here??

Unfortunately so, too, will not work. If you add a link to the blog by EZ-page, it will not generate sitemap for your blog. This will only create an entry with this link in SitemapXML.

To create a sitemap of your blog you need to know its structure. So, for each integrated CMS needs a his own sitemap plugin.

Not disputing that you cannot capture the blog in the XML sitemap using this module. However, that's NOT what I was suggesting at all. In fact the fact that you cannot capture the blog's URLs in this plugin is what lead me to a different approach..

What I was saying/suggesting is that there IS down and dirty way to use ONE XML plugin/module to capture both the blog and Zen Cart URLs in ONE XML site map by approching this from the WordPress side with the right plugin. In the WordPress XML sitemap plugin I use, I can add additional URLS for the plugin to include in the sitemap. Initially I added the category URLs, but then simplified and added just the URL to the Zen Cart HTML sitemap (index.php?main_page=site_map). It's down and dirty, but doing this captured both the blog and the shop in ONE XML sitemap.
