UPS modules on items over 99lbs

The new UPSXML and Ajeh's UPS module are automatically splitting a box that i have that is 180lbs and oversized.
Why is it splitting a box into 2 that cannot be split?

I want it to make it so the shopper has to contact me and freight will be arranged. Do I have to modify the quote module?

What do you have set in
admin > config > Shipping/Packaging > Enter the Maximum Package Weight you will ship

Plus, I do not believe that USPS will ship something that weighs 180lbs

I cannot speak to why these modules are "splitting" the box...

Maybe you have more than one product going into the box? And the modules are noting UPS will not ship items over a certain weight (or you have a limit set in admin)? And therefore the module returns a quote for the products packaged into smaller boxes? UPS Weight and Size Limits.

If a shipping module does not return a quote (for whatever reason) the shipping option will not be shown. And if no shipping options are available the customer cannot go through the checkout process and must contact you. How you handle this is up to you (link to contact_us page, add a freight carrier, let them checkout and process shipping charges separately, etc).
