Hey all been a long time since I posted here, however with the help of a developer friend of mine, and some contributions found here and on other boards we were finally able to get the new site launched.

We found a Year make model mod here on the boards re worked it a fair amount to get it working the way we needed it so thank you for the basic ideas on how to do it, a lot of clean up and re working was require for it to work quickly and allow for 4 levels instead of 3.

Also we found a couple other things we were able to utilize and re work to our needs I do not remember exactly which mods they were but they were good starting points as well.

A lot of small back end customization and front end was done to, we wrapped the site in bootstrap pretty much flawlessly from what I can tell so no matter you screen size the site looks great :) we found a theme that had it started and then just went through it and finished everything up real nice reworking some of the tables and layout settings to get it looking right.

Next steps will be to hopefully get some kind of a 1 page checkout installed and working good however getting it to play nice with bootstrap and re working the css files to bootstrap standards will take a bit of work so we haven't started to tackle it as of yet but will shortly for a better shopping experience for our customers.

Also we wrote a couple little mods that might benifit some people, we did up a nice MSRP mod that allows you to show MSRP, also a Make an Offer mod that allows you to set a minumum price you will accept, then set it to enabled or disabled, then the customer can enter in a price lower than what you advertise it at and if it is within your acceptable range it will kick back offer aproved, allow them to add the product to their cart at that price, and then checkout at that price all without coupon codes, or having to leave the product page pretty cool stuff, the other big one we did was install a fitment guide tab to the product description tabs if you will which is really nice for us as we are in the automotive business.

On a side note I would like to thank the creators of ZenCart for a kick ###### platform that is so customize-able and reletively easy to use on the admin side, I hope to be using Zen for a long time and hope my store can grow with this platform currently we have over 110k categories (mainly bacuase of the year make model search being done via category drill down), over 41k products and going up about 3k per day for the next 5 months or so thanks to some really kick ###### product import software, our complete store is hosted on a server with only 5GB SSD harddrive thanks to external image hosting mod I found, took a while to get it working correctly but it is awesome and we are able to host them on a much cheaper server that handles them pretty well and has a lot of harddrive space, and a database that is almost 200mb right now and growing more and more, and after doing away with some of the checks and loops through the categories it is performing awesome and handles it amazingly! We still have some work to do to get our load times down a bit, and better our SEO scores and webpagetest scores but that will be starting soon as well the goal is all green on webpagetest.org and seo score from woorank of 90% or better, should be pretty easily obtainable I think. Can not wait to see the improvements in the next major release I do not know if we will start with it from the get go but we will certainly put it on a test server and play around with it a lot and start moving everything to it and go from there :)
