Zen Cart v1.5.3 was updated to include "Selectable Countries", which added the 'status' column to the Zen Cart "countries" table. It sounds like you didn't run the database upgrade script when you performed the upgrade.

If you check the files, on the server, for:
    /includes/configure.php
    /your_secret_admin/includes/configure.php

are both using the same database information?
    Yes, they are the same.

1.5.1 was installed about 2 months ago and sat there. No modifications done. I upgraded to 1.5.3 about 1.5 weeks ago.

It's an exclamation made by an American cartoon character named Homer Simpson. He says it when he realizes he's made a mistake, done something silly or gets frustrated.

Yes, I was trying to get to the bottom of the "Doh" -- i.e. what did kdwhd discover.

I upgraded to 1.5.3 on July 30th. Everything seemed to have been ok. But, now how do I fix my check out?

You could start by describing what's wrong with your checkout. Do you have any checkout-related plugins installed? Are there myDEBUG log files generated during the checkout process?

I am not sure, I posted all of the debug files I found on the 1st page of this thread. I will do a test order and see if a new one shows up. When customers get to the submit order button it shows a blank Error Page. I posted that in beginning. I am thinking there are some plugins that need updating but haven't gotten around to them. I am not sure if there are plugins connected to that page in general.

So, I tried this to see if it would work. I uploaded my old back up, which shares the same database. I changed the current zen cart to another name and change the old one to the site name. When I logged into make a purchase it processed everything without any issues. My only issue is I have a bunch of new products in the database without the pictures, but most importantly it says that Zen Cart 1.5.1 with Database 1.5.3 and I know that is going to cause problems somewhere along the way. Whereas I can replace the images the images, I can't replace "what works" when it comes to functionality. But I am scare to upgrade to 1.5.3 - how bad is having a zen cart mismatched with the database, and any suggestions on how to upgrade without once again losing functionality?
