There are quite a few things that should work that do in the default and 1.3.9 template, which is an older one of yours, but they do not wish to cooperate with me. I have removed all 1.5.4 files, replaced them with fresh ones, manually edited the Ceon Mod but this is what is not working.....I just thought to try one thing at a time in the topic but here is the list and links

Things not right:

1. About Us page is blank

2. Designer (manufacturers side box) will only give the drop menu but will not display the names . example shows "Please Select" then everyone shows in drop menu.

If set to show 10 names it only shows 1 but no drop menu or scrolling

3. Can not get rid of upper menu.

4. Add to cart button will not, sends to shopping cart is empty with error:
Warning Please correct the following:
... Quantity Units errors - Valentino VALENTINA ASSOLUTO eau de parfum spray intense 2.7 oz for women Add to Bag:

5. The product page listings and category pages all have extremely large bounding areas and would like them to be like the size a bit larger than the image…like your demo shows.

6. There is a line, looks like a horizontal rule, at the bottom of main page images that I can not get rid of, I turned off the new, featured and specials boxes for main page and the line is now visible.

7. product page bounding boxes are misaligned.

I think this is a very pretty template, and is so much like your 1.0 version but it does n't always let one see the entire page. On one laptop I have (PC res. 1366x768) it does not show area beyond left or right sidebar areas. On the mac (1689x1050 )laptop I see the entire store like your demo with the ribbons. I assume it is due to the monitor size…no problem that was just curiosity.

3. this is not a template problem. If you don't want the header menu, remove the code in tpl_header.php
4. not a problem in the template demo
5. I do not understand what you mean by this
6. remove the border on line 708 in stylesheet.css
7. fix spacing using min-heights

Just FYI, when you rename the stylesheet.css to stylesheetOLD.css, it is still loading. You need to either remove it completely, or change it to stylesheet.css.bak

This template does not show the full screen version at screen widths below 1600 pixels. It is not a mistake, it is a feature.

#5, if you went to the all products , new, or individual categories pages you would see the problem

thank you for where to look for that line. for the header menu I looked everywhere but there...LOL

I will chec those min-widths to see if they will behave for me

Thank you, I have usually used a tilde at the end and this time wrote old but being an idiot at times I put it in the wrong place... and the template not showing the pretty ribbons is not a problem -- I figured it was supposed to be that way but was curios like the old cat that I am.

I can usually "fix" things if told where and what to change but with the responsive stuff I am totally lost, which is why I ask a lot of questions that can be viewed as stupid or insignificant but I am trying to learn so I do not bother folks too much.

OK, about that ribbon menu...I want the links to be gone not the ribbon.

If I go to the file custom/common/tpl_header.php I easily find the coding for the navigation beside the logo, in that area, I have even added an arrow for the items there

but for the ribbon area if I delete this section:

It does do away with the menu links there but it also gets rid of the ribbon. I am sorry for not making clear which upper menu was not wanted.

Is there somewhere else I can do this. I looked in the style sheet and everywhere that web developer tools sends me does nothing when I add display: none;

Have a couple of minor things, I will post pics of the 2 items one is the back to top button, it has a black background and would like to change it to the same blue as the rest of the page sideboxes. The other is the Buy Now button that is displayed when a customer clicks on a category and the resulting page shows all the items for that category

The colors for these can be easily changed in the stylesheet.css file. If you are going to make css changes to the template I would recommend using chrome and the web developer tools. They will tell you the exact line of the file that needs to be changed.

Ok, thanks, I know the first attachment I posted is called backtotop so I will easily see the line to change the color. What is the buy now button called in stylesheet.css, assuming buy now? I noticed most of the color codes are #xxx where the xxx is the code for the color. I am not familiar with that type of color code, can you tell me what to look for to see what the color for the sideboxes are?

Have you tried using firebug or the chrome web developer tools? I really do not mind helping out in a pinch, but I do ask that you at least make an effort to help yourself first. Really, if you right click and inspect the element in chrome or firefox, it will tell you the exact line that needs to be edited.

Duh, feel like an ###### now, thought you meant Developer tools in the admin. Never thought of using the inspect element under my browser, changed the other one now too. Thanks Anne for clarifying hat you meant. Do feel silly though.
