Where might I find the debug-log files?

I found this in my CPanel: ( I substituted user and template names)

What is interesting is that I haven't used my old_template_name since upgrading to 1.5.4

Actually, I never do what you did - renaming and uploading. I always take the contents and upload them in the correct place. But I don't see how could have gone wrong doing that either.

I have changed the local directory name back to admin. I'll download a home directory backup.

Then rename only the template directory as per read.txt , and upload in batches to their relevant locations. Where the server file is older than your files, I'll overwrite.

Will let you know asap.

Busy uploading a home directory backup. At the pathetic local ISP speeds, it may take 2-3 days. We are meant to have a 20mbps line, which is the best affordable line in my neighbourhood of Johannesburg. (Pop 6-8 million, with isolated areas offering fibre to fewer than 50 000)

I don't know what you are doing wrong but this shouldn't be an issue if in fact you are matching zen cart versions.

When you receive the "Warning: An error occurred", there's a debug log with details that identify the symptom (and possibly the source) of the error. Check your /logs folder for Zen Cart v1.5.1 or later; /cache folder for earlier versions.
