Not unless you ran say a pizza delivery business or other store to site delivery. :) or if you use tracking but don't provide to the customer you can claim delivery when they do. But no matter, the information is there to generally allow setup as desired. There are some pitfalls of changing/resequencing some of the status' if using downloads based on purchase of the item(s).

Those both seem like they could be useful to customer's looking at their order history. Not for everyone, but certainly could be helpful.
