One-Page Checkout [Support Thread]

Arggh, the before- and after-processing hash of the session (used to determine if any totals have changed) is coming up different because the cot_gv value is "changing" from '0.00' to '0'.

I'll need some time to investigate why that's changing and the best approach to correction.

Whew, finally (with validation assistance from @jeking). There are two files (both currently available on the plugin's GitHub repository):

1. /includes/classes/observers/class.checkout_one_observer.php
2. /includes/modules/pages/checkout_one_confirmation/header_php.php

that encompass this correction.

Note also that I found, when investigating this issue, that a change in the order's total was no longer resulting in a redirect back to the checkout_one page for the customer's review. That change is also incorporated in the above files' updates.

I've got these changes tagged for a v1.0.10 release, which I'll publish in early December.

I've just submitted v1.0.9 to the Zen Cart Plugins for review, correcting the following GitHub-recorded issues:

#60: Some payment methods require an instance of $order_totals
#59: Virtual order doesn't display shipping/confirmation blocks
#58: No payment modules displayed
#57: Note that "Sage Pay Form" is compatible in the readme

Interesting (IMO) observation. With Canada Post as the only shipping method, the various rates available are listed from most expensive to least, with the highest cost autoselected as default. (vs the Canada Post mod itself and the regular ZC multi-page checkout, which default to the least cost choice.) There doesn't seem to be a resolution to this.

But I recently added a second shipping choice - 'instore pickup' (with modified text) to allow customers to pickup in person at the local farmers market where I sell on fall weekends.

When I added that option, the One Page Checkout switches to the Canada Post least expensive by default. If I remove the 'instore pickup' mod, OPC presents the most expensive Canada Post choice by default again.

Curious.

'Tis a bug in One-Page Checkout. The cheapest shipping is chosen (currently) if there is more than one shipping-method available instead of at least one shipping-method.

Correction is up on GitHub and will be included in the forthcoming v1.0.10 release. Thanks to @soxophoneplayer for sharing his testbed that enabled me to identify the source of the issue.

I have installed One Page Checkout 1.0.9 with Zen Cart v1.55b. Check out with a credit card using Paypal Payments Pro (paypaldp), I get redirected to the Confirmation Page. No js errors or anything in the logs. The problem is reproducible in a 'clean' install of 1.55b.

Shipping modules are Store Pickup, UPS and USPS. Payment modules are Paypal Express, Paypal Payments Pro, Purchase Orders (from Super Orders).

Great mod otherwise! Thanks in advance for any help.

@ChuckPhilips, PayPal Payments Pro is one of the payment methods that "collects credit card data onsite". As such, when you pay with that payment method, you'll see that confirmation page from which you can confirm your order.

I've just submitted v1.0.10 to the Zen Cart Plugins for review, correcting the following issues (identified by their GitHub issue number):

#61: Correct interaction with Zen Cart 1.5.4 "ot_gv" handling.
#62: Order-total changes should result in re-display of the checkout_one page.
#63: Select cheapest shipping method, even if only one module is enabled.

I've just loaded and installed one-page-checkout V-10 and done a comprehensive test on it... So far working flawlessly. Thank you so much for devoting such a lot of time and expertise to this plugin - in my opinion it is one of the most valuable plugins... Fast checkout is essential these days - both on desktop and mobile devices. We were using Fast & Easy Checkout on an earlier site and while it works well, I don't really like the css/js loader that it needs.

One-page-checkout (as an option) should be part of CORE Zencart for future versions. (Dev team take note).

Once again lat9... thank you for this plugin. It will make a big difference to the UX on my newest site (tagmarket [dot] co [dot] uk)
