Super Orders v4.0 Support Thread for ZC v1.5.x

I'm going to take a chance and install this on my test site. My only concern is knowing for sure that it will be installed on the test site and not on the live site. The admin folder name is the same on both. If I log into the test admin first, can I be certain that this won't be installed on the live site? The two sites have separate databases.

When uploading your files upload them to THE FOLDER of your test site, you probably have the test file on a different folder.

I very seldom have a refund but today I just did a refund using superorder. I made notes in the "Note to display to customer:" section and the click and submitted. Everything looks good but it looks to not have emailed to customer. a greyed out padlock is displayed.

Is there a switch for this?

OK - so I just tried checking to see which files have been changed since v 1.5.1 (my last working ZenCart with SuperOrders installed). Basically, I think it came down to 4 core files changed since then that are also in the SuperOrders package:

• 2_Modified_Core_Files/YOUR_ADMIN_FOLDER/orders.php
• 2_Modified_Core_Files/YOUR_ADMIN_FOLDER/includes/languages/english/orders.php
• 2_Modified_Core_Files/includes/classes/order.php
• 2_Modified_Core_Files/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_account_history_info_default.php

I am NOT even close to a comfortable PHP editor/writer.... More like a PHP gambler. Try it, test it, if it works "great", if not "try again".

I began using Beyond Compare to merge the necessary edits into one of the files and I'm fairly sure I'm creating a mess. And, well, maybe I'm not even sure of that.

Can anyone advise if I'm taking on something foolish for one so inexperienced? And if so, is my only option of an updated website to forego the SuperOrders and Edit Orders packages? Kinda sad, if so.

I have Super Orders installed in a v1.55b test environment. It basically works, the only issue I have found so far is adding a PO to an order. The PO is added, but the order page does not refresh and the email is not sent. There may be other issues of course, but this is all I have found.

I used the Super Orders version from GitHub.

It appears both adding a PO and a Refund had the same issue. The 'fix' so far was to add two references to admin/includes/classes/super_order.php.

Add this line:

global $db;

to the beginning of function add_refund, approx line 462,

and to the beginning of function add_purchase_order, approx line 433.

Hope this helps someone! We have two stores to upgrade (v1.51 to v1.55b) and they both find Super Orders a very valuable plugin.

From GitHub? Hmmm... I've always used a package from Numinix / BlindSide.

While waiting for a reply, I tried to install it as is. Figured I could resort to my backups if it failed. The order page went white. So I went back to my backups and then figured I'd have to wait for an updated version. I replace the SuperOrder files with the ZenCart files, however I forgot to remove the non-core files. Now, I am finding that Batch Status Update and Batch Form Print are available in the menu. I'm sorry to only have the stock order page, but very, very relieved that I at least have the Batches available.

Wonder why the version is working for the two of you and not me? I do have Edit Orders installed.

Try the version posted on Github. It has updates.

Were using Edit Orders also.

I am also try integration SO 4.0.10 BETA (GitHub) version with Edit Order 4.1.7 on ZC 1.5.5b now
Will report there it work for me or not later
But I had a working version with ZC 1.5.4 that using SO 4.0.10 BETA (GitHub) with Edit Order 4.1.4

The GutHub 4.0.10 BETA have some small bugs, but can easy to fix by read back this forum #496 (Page 50 on this forum) or you can using #496 as starting point read on, then other small bugs also can find a fix there.

Real hope the developer make the SO 4.0.10 from BETA to final version soon, this useful module haven't update real for a long time there on the Plug-In Page (Still 4.0.9 version)
