Orders occasionally removing shipping method and charge

Hello there,

The past month I have this issue about 4 or 5 times, before not a problem. I haven't any big code changes, none to the checkout pages anyhow.

What happens is sometimes an order via Paypal sends the order through with the following for shipping payment:-

: £0.00

And shipping method as:-

Shipping Method

n/a

Even free shipping methods should have a method, but this only has happened for orders where shipping methods are charged. I cannot understand it, and tonight it should have been 'Royal Mail International Large Letters' with a charge of '£3.80'.

It is not happening all the time though. The other frustrating thing is since php 7 I have not been able to have logs written, tried all resolutions. So only Paypal logs are writing (for failed ones though).

I was thinking this may have happened to other people as Paypal has sent loads of updates of API errors, changes and maintenance issues - I know one decline was due to there upgrade as it was during one window of their alert warning.

I am using stock checkout as included in 1.55e

I am not sure if the following means anything, or if it is indeed Paypal or not. Perhaps it is not - I am grateful for any quick pointers. Thanks in advance. It is 4 orders afftected in the past month, three of them international. It seems the addresses logged in the shipping address had the format for countries as follows (like a double country entry?)

Spain, Spain
france, France
Macao, Macau

The fourth does not follow this pattern. Maybe it is not related. Did not realise until checking order confirmation again, our labels are printed through integrated software and it only printed the country name once in the label layout.
