So I did a big no no. I had some images with cap letters in the name, along with spaces. Now I have changed the file to all lower case and added _ for where spaces were plus I have shorted the image name. Now I get an error when I try to replace the image. Sometimes it still shows the old image name.

An error? I bet it didn't just say "an error", but probably was more detailed than that ...

Fist I looked at the log and see nothing in the log file.
On product page, I select the image "1982-rcm-december_page_1.jpg" then click preview. I see it giveing me % as it uploads. then on the preview I get the broken image icon. IT is not uploading the image. I can upload it by FTP and it will then work.
