The column 'updated_by' was added in Zen Cart 1.5.6. You said you're using 1.5.5e so you installed the wrong version. You'll need to remove what you installed and install the correct version.

I solved by testing the output of the emails from my server, but I point out that it would be advisable to modify the orders.php file in order to render the text of the multilingual emails
