Default Forbidded 403 When Previewing Product Change

    Using 1.5.5f currently.

When in Categories/Products, and updating a product ... when I press Preview I get the "Forbidden - don't have permission to access this resource message."

This just started happening suddenly, as I just updated this same product only a couple of days ago.

Can't update any existing product under any category (at least any I tried), but I can create a new product and update it.

    What could be causing this?

mod_security settings may have caused this.

Can you advise where I should look for such settings? Note that this suddenly started happening yesterday, and only for existing products, not newly created ones.

Thanks for any direction you can provide!

    Okay, major update to this!

Based on the suggestion that it might have something to do with ModSecurity, I contacted my site server service. They suggested I use cPanel and disable ModSecurity to see if that would remove the issue. I did so, and I was able to update the two products I had been working on.

I then re-enabled ModSecurity. I then tried to update the products again, as a test, and I could! I then looked at other products which had not been working either, and they could also be updated.

I think the answer is that disabling, then enabling, ModSecurity must have removed some sort of mis-match that had developed (perhaps by some system software updates?).
