Most of the items on our site, for the most part, are no longer available in the open market. In other words, discontinued from their manufacturer.

this results in large orders or large number of orders placed by individuals from third world countries like Russia or china. If these orders are charged thru and then need to be cancelled - I am out a significant amount for fees.

Currently I use the Ceon credit card module, but it probably will not agree with a new Zencart update.

At this time, emails generated from my site are not sent - att.net say that my site is not blocked.
bluehost says that the difference in the php versions are causing the problem.

Is there an current version of a module that would solve this dilemma.

Although the legality of using Ceon's old CC system is very suspect, I think your problem is more with stock settings.

If you have a product with the stock set correctly to 12 and a person tries to order 15, Zen Cart will properly adjust the order amount to 12 IF you have your site settings correctly set.

What are your settings for:

Configuration > Stock > Check stock level?

Configuration > Stock > Substract stock?

Configuration > Stock > Allow Checkout?

In your case, I would set them to true, true, and false respectively and make sure the beginning/current stock level (Products Quantity) is accurate. That will keep the customer from purchasing an item with no stock or more than the amount of stock on hand.

As far as the email problems, your host needs to correct and/or create DNS settings for SPF, DKIM, and DMARC for your domain.

These settings may have different embedded information if you are using mail from other than your site's host but the domain's DNS is where the three settings should be.

Forgive my ignorance but is there a reason you're selling to Russia and China?

Also why are the orders charged and then "need to be canceled"?
