    Default error viewing Forum entries

    Hi All,
    Hope you are well.
I sent this to Drbyte but he must be unable to reply.

One of my sites is producing an error. When I look in the support forum I get this response when I click a link.

The error I was getting from the customers web site is.

Call to undefined function: mysql_connect(). Please install the MySQL Connector for PHP

I get from reading that I need a newer version of PHP.

    This is my server info:
    cPanel Version 86.0 (build 40)
    Apache Version 2.4.57
    PHP Version 7.3.33
    MySQL Version 5.5.62-cll
    Architecture x86_64
    Operating System linux
    http://www.glamourautoshop.com/Glamshop/

Is my cart version to old to use the newer version of PHP that is on my server?
I also need to know how to fix my forum access so I don't have to bother you and the staff.
I am unable to login to admin also.
    Thanks for your help.

PHP version: The website uses the function "mysql_connect" which was deprecated in PHP 5.5 and removed in PHP version 7.0.

    Hi Carl,
Perhaps so, but I have always had great conversation with him and he has helped my with creating a captcha for one of my sites. Just glad to see he is Okay after Covid.

Maybe you can answer why I am getting the error when I try to look at forum entries?

    Thanks,
    Mark

The mysql_* functions have been removed from the PHP core, in deference to the mysqli_* functions.

The forum software doesn't like the characters at the end of the URL you used

Remove the '%28%29' and the link should work.
