Well, the add to cart is still placing orders if the item is out of stock on the featured module on the main page.

I have already tried those. They don't help at all.

Can anyone tell me why when I have an product is out of stock and its on featured and new modules on the main page the buy now button still showing customers can still add it to the shopping cart? The actual product listing and product info page shows "Sold Out!"

Switch to responsive_classic and see if the behavior is the same.

Ok, I switched to responsive_classic there is no buy now button on any of the featured products just linked to the product info page.

OK then there are changes that you'll need to apply to the (older) Fluorspar template then.

Look at includes/modules/featured_products.php and compare to

includes/modules/YOUR_TEMPLATE/featured_products.php

Can I copy the responsive_classic featured_products.php to the Fluorspar featured_products.php?
