Problem installing SEO URLs - Please help

Hi all, I'm trying to install ultimate seo urls contrib, but after following the install instructions, when I go to my home page all i see is 1054 unknown column 'c.parent_id' in 'on clause'. I checked within my phpmyadmin and the parent_id column is in the categories table, so i don't understand where this error is coming from. If i change the application_top.php and html_output.php files back to the original files, my site comes back up. Any ideas to what may be causing this? i'm at a loss, however that doesn't take much since i am fairly new to both zen and php.

I am running:

php version 4.4.2
zen version 1.3.0

try upgrading to zen 3.0.1 - see if that solves the problem

I was trying to avoid having to do that, but it looks like that may be my only option.......and prolly good to do anyways, but may hold off on that for a few days. Thanks for the suggestion.
