How do I get a module?

I am just so totally confused with this site. Nothing is where I expect it and I'm having difficulty in finding a getting started guide. I found a thread with a link for more information ....

but all that does it loop me back to the first page. So I have no idea how to find the information about that thread or how to get the module that it is talking about?
If I can't get the shipping sorted out, there is no point in my persevering with this setup. I'll use something else.
Where can I find a list of modules and what they do?
Or where can I get a clear and concise guide for a novice programmer?

Please be patient,
there was a recent migration from an old forum to a new forum.
some things are still being moved.

I believe Kim posted earlier about the faq being back up and running

I'm looking for an AusPost module. Not sure if it will do what I need, but is probably closest to it.

Can anyone tell me how to download or where to get the affiliate module? Not the idevaffiliate one. I tried that and it will not work for my use.
