IH is uploading to my /cart/images dir. OK.
(ZC is one dir. down in "cart/")
On the category listing page the image shows up OK.
But on the product page the main image (in the "bof Main Product Image" section)
the image is broken, it's trying to go to "src="images/medium/lotus_MED.jpg"
But!... the 'larger image' link does work.

But! with an add'l image uploaded through IH,
    ("bof Additional Product Images" section)
it does show up on the product page...
But here, the 'larger image' link does not work! (Huh?)
    (tries to go to src="images/large/photo_2_LRG.jpg")...
When I had installed IH, most of the way through, as I was uploading files in the admin/includes dir., I realized I was over-writing some pretty basic, integral files. So I did what I often do while working on scripts, I made back-ups of those files by renaming the originals. Specifically, I renamed them from 'filename.php' to 'filename.preImageHandler.php' & then uploaded the new IH version of 'filename.php'. Typically, this works fine.
However, w/ ZC it seems, the app. reads all of the *.php files in certain directories. (True, oh great guru's?) So as a result, even though I had uploaded the IH versions, because my backup files list after the unrenamed version ('filename.php' is followed alphabetically by 'filename.preImageHandler.php'), all the values, behaviors, etc. were getting overwritten back to the ZC originals.
So, in essence, I effectively wound up w/ only a partial install of IH.

A ZC 'gotcha', in a big way, 'cause this is a behavior one would not expect. Or at least, I sure didn't!

Hope this saves some other folks some headaches...

(& if anyone knows of any discussions of this, in docs, wiki or forum, & I love to know about it. Also, if I've misinterpretted anything....)

This is similar to the problem i had. All i could do was uninstall zencart then reinstall. Everything is fine now. I'm going to do some archive backups so i don't have to reupload the photo's and attribute them if something goes wrong again. Screw that.

I have had reports that that my Zen Cart is running slow. I am looking at different modules to see if they might be the source of the problem.

    The store is:

Zen Cart 1.3.0.2 with Image Handler 2 1.3 installed. While it works like a dream from the administrators perspective I am getting reports that the page load times are very slow. Sometimes taking over 20 seconds.

Of course the 1st thing I looked at was the compression quality which I set at 100. I display 10 images in my product listings and my larger file size images are about 6k. So 10 x 6 = 60k in product images which doesn't seem to out of line (plus the header images etc.). Below are my Image settings in Zen Cart. Could they be adjusted for better performance (aside from the obvious lower compression quality).

Does IH2 1.3 run some script routines while loading the images that may slow the page load?

After installing Image Handler 2 on my 1.27 Zen, my additional images were all there in the admin, but not showing on the store front (product info page).

When turning off the hoover effect I got them back on the product info page, but not clickable (to see the large image).

I don't know anything about PHP coding, so I tried to do it without editing files.

Finally, I was able to get my additional images back and clickable, by overwriting the includes/modules/pages directory by the same directory included in the Zen1.27 release.

Had to say goodbye to the hoover effect, though, If turned on, my additional images are gone again.

Hope this helps somebody who encountered the same problem.

I just installed Image Handler 2 into my site, but I'm getting an error message when the image is being loaded.

Warning: imagedestroy(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in /home/mnm/public_html/davidshops/includes/classes/bmz_image_handler.class.php on line 531

But when I refresh the browser the error message dissappear.

Could anyone help me in mixing this problem.

    Default Re: Images Not Resizing

Installed IH and it opens, but the original product image that is uploaded to the mainfile does not resize; it remains the same for MED and LARGE. Am I missing something?

    Thank you!

Is it just me or are others having problems even seeing these images in Firefox? IE works fine and the contrib looks great! Just no images in Firefox, until I shut off "IH resize images".... any ideas? I've applied all of MM's fixes and my zencart is 1.3.0.2 with no other contribs... just installed stock zencart. Even on Tim's demo sight, no images in Firefox...

I just installed it and it is working perfectly in IE and firefox.

I do have one problem I haven't seen listed here unless I missed it.
My custom sidebox header graphic and the header and footer graphic stopped loading.
The center box i.e. "new products for August" etc. didn't change and has my graphic.
Did this happen to anyone else?
What file created this problem? I don't think it can be the css file because I think it only covers the imagehover.

    zencart version 1.3.0
    image handler 2.0-zc13

    Thanks for any help
