Maybe I've missed it someplace and I opologise if I have but are there any detailed instructions on how to use Easy Populate?
I know that fromt he readme that if you set the v_status to 9 it deletes the product. What about the catagory? After testing teh v_status 9 I noticed that the products were gone but the catagory and sub catagories are still present. How are those deleted?
Details on how to use the file would be of great help:)
Thanks
Hi Guys.
Every time i try to update my items with easy populate, i get duplicate items! (Perticularly if i try to change categories). Is there a way to avoid getting duplicate items?
Also, now that i have 6000 items that have been duplicated, is there a way to delete them, without doing it one by one?
This is perticularly frusterating.
Anyone? There has got to be a way.
you cannot delete categories with Easy Populate.
The default behaviour for Easy Populate when an existing product is found and a new category specified is to create a linked product. You must 1st delete the product and then upload it to any new category.
Delete each product with v_status = 9.

sorry everybody, luckily working on EP, to bother you with this:
I am hardly trying to get ep 1.2.5.4 running, but neither on a fresh 1.3.01 nor in an fresh 1.3.0.2 install the installer is willing to do his job. In both versions this error is prompted:
1136 Column count doesn't match value count at row 1
So this was my troubleshooting up to now:
Downloaded a "virgin" copy from the modhole, just to see, if maybe some files were not correct;
Tried to install on a fresh copy of 1.3.1, just to see, if maybe the database-structure could handle the sql-stetment different;
Reinstalled the fresh ep on a fresh 132, again to check, if all files are correct;
Results see above. Does anybody can give me an Idea about what I am doing wrong?????
Thanks to all
this results from a modified configuration table. Have you added a module that has altered this table?
To overcome this, you will need to change the sql code text file to match the database schema of your modified store, and use the sql patch tool in Zen Cart admin to install it.
