Is there a way to choose which is the opening default page when they log in?

Now there's an interesting idea. Not at the moment no, but I will certainly give that some thought for a future version.

This is sounding as though your admin.php file may have somehow been overwritten. However I have checked the two add-ons that you metioned earlier and would not expect either to do this.

Could you check whether or not the results of the first two code patches that you did during Admin Profiles installation are still intact. Here's a reminder of them ...

Yes, that was the case! I just uploaded admin.php again and it works now. Have no idea why this happend.

Because I'm not very familiar with PHP I have to following question:

I think I have the override system of ZC figured out and have made all modifications to my site in my own template-directories. Install-instructions included with the downloaded contrib state that all files should be placed in default (ZC-core) directories.

Is it possible (even recommended) to install all files in existing/new template-directories?
(Yes indeed, I trust myself to f*ck things up when upgrading to newer versions by copying new files over existing ones when I don't keep my modifications obviously seperated. ;-)

It's not clear whether your question is about over-rides generally or Admin POrofiles specifically. Either way it is good that you're paying careful attention to the over-ride system in Zen Cart.

Unfortunately however, the over-ride system doesn't currently extend to the Admin area. If it is Admin Profiles that you interesting in, then I have tried to avoid touching core code as much as possible, but it couldn't do its job without some interaction with the main system, so you will find yourself overwiting or editing a small number of core files. As long as you follow the installation instructions carefully, this will not be a problem.

Otherwise in general it is a good idea to use template, language and module over-rides whenever possible, as will as the various extra_ directories.

Sorry for not being clear but my question is indeed about Admin Profiles specifically.

I wasn't aware of the fact that the override system did not include the admin. Thanks for pointing that out to me. So far I haven't had the need to modify anything in the Admin but it would have had me confused if it came to that.

Sounds like I'll just have to follow the install instructions to the letter and make a note for myself to avoid instant panic when upgrading ;-)

Kuroi has arranged for an intraveinous feed to keep me from going through withdrawal even while sleeping, on the rare occasion that I get to do so. Helps keep the shakes down, and keep the hands steady while coding...

Just had a thought about the default page, could a field be added to an admin's profile that you could enter in the path to the custom index page for that particular admin?

It would work along these lines yes. But there are a few wrinkles to deal with along the way.

I do plan another version of Admin Profiles, and this will most likely be included in it. No guarantees on date though.
