Is IH compatible with Swap Image contribution?

G'day,

I downloaded what I believe to be the lastest version of Image Handler 2 from the Zen Cart web site, i.e. image_handler__for_vx_2.0v0916.zip

I going through comparing the IH2 versions of some php files with the original 1.3.5 ones, I notice that some of the IH2 version have the ?> line missing from the end of the file. See additional_images.php, main_product_image.php etc.

This could cause problems for those that do a straight replace of the files.

Well, I resolved my situation somewhat by "only changing" in admin- config- images;

Image - Use Proportional Images on Products and Categories from 0 to 1 per Lala_G_Clef_Jewelry posted suggestion to dinki a couple days back. Thank you.

I could not get a product image or a larger image at all. This fixed it. But what is a mystery to me is why now most but not all of the "extra" admin- config - image choices are now gone. (?)

I did read back, (you know there is another 183 posts in the old thread) and found some good advice there. Per Tim, it is ok to have the DB as is, so I am not fixing it.

The proportional choice says not to have your image sizes at 0 as I do in the top section and not in the IH section. But it still works, so I ain't gunna fix that either untel I see its broke.

The GD / ImageMagick question I had was found in the code to auto choose GD. Thus removing the need in config- admin.

I must correct my last post,

I did set -
IH large image maximum width 220
IH large image maximum height 0

- to get things to size up right. I do have one set of featured picts not sizing up the same as all the rest. I assume I can fix that later.
I am giving it a rest for now.

latest zen and IH

maybe im missing something , buy when i upload an image to a product , the new image gets added to every product in that catergory

I am NOT an expert whatsoever but here is my experience with IH and maybe it might help someone.

First of all, I am using 1.35 version. I have installed IH2 for 1.35.

My images are resized and I name them in the same fashion as state by Ajeh many times. Naming of images can be anything. I normally pick a name that relates to the item or my inventory. My example is very generic.

top.jpg (main image)
top_1.jpg (additional image)
top_2.jpg (additional image)

After I add my product with the main image I then upload my additional images in that order with IH2.

IH2 is great! Thanks for all the great help from everyone.
