Can not use HTMLarea...Why?

This is a little too complicated for me. Could someone put in plain English what exactly needs to be copied and/or changed here. I fould the admin/htmlarea.php file ok... but that is all. Where do I find or place whatever I need to do here?

I have a new site with a clean fresh install of zen-cart 1.3.6 with no newly installed modules and can't get the wysiwyg or html editor to work. I have html enabled in the admin, but it doesn't work. I have used zen-cart on 10 other sites and have not had this problem before. Any help would be welcomed. Thanks

Hi,

In the folder \editors\htmlarea\lang\ copy the file en.js to xy.js, where xy is the languade code of the language you are using.

In the file xy.js, find the line

	lang: "en",

and change en to xy and save.

When you now use the editor in your language, Zen-Cart will call the language file xy.js beleiving its the language file needed. You will, however, see English hints, unless you translate the definitions in the file xy.js.

I tried doing what you said above, Wils... but I'm not sure which directory I copy the en,js file to. You mention the language code I'm using. I'm using the English language.

What do you mean when you say copy it to xy.js? There is no xy.js file that I can find in 1.3.6.

I tried saving en.js as xy.js and uploading in the same location, It didn't work. I'm using a Mac OSX and Firefox 2.0.

dlaitila, OK, I misunderstood. If you are using English, then there should be no changes to make (language code 'en'). But FYI, the file en.js would be copied into xy.js in the same directory (where all the language define files are kept).

Unfortunately I don't have Mac OSX so I can't test your configuration.
