Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread

Will this mod allow you to give manufacturers their own access to put their own products in the store... but not allow them to go anywhere else in the store admin?

It's a good question that been asked several times so I've added it to the Admin Profiles FAQ in the Wiki

I did the research and register_globals was OFF for both values in the version screen.

... and the admin.php lines looked fine too.

Something is odd in your setup but I suspect it's going to be difficult to root out. I like these types of challenges.

Towards the bottom of the Admin Profiles FAQ there are instructions for adding a bit of code that will show who Zen Cart thinks you're logged on as. If you make the two minor changes explained there, it will make it easier to see at what point Zen Cart is switching your user ID.

Once that's done, could you list out some specific actions that 1) result in you being logged out and 2) your admin ID changing.

Hi all,

this seems like a great contribution, and i can't wait to check it out, however after installing, i am getting the following error:

Warning: main(/includes/autoload_func.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in ....\admin\includes\application_top.php on line 147

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/includes/autoload_func.php' (include_path='.;c:\php4\pear') in ...\admin\includes\application_top.php on line 147

I checked to make sure the file is there, and it is. Any help resolving this issue is greatly appreciated.

I installed this on a test server with Zen-Cart version 1.3.7

I very much doubt that this is anything to do with Admin Profiles as it doesn't go near either of those files.

What I suspect has happened is that in setting up your test server you have defined the DIR_FS_CATALOG constant in your admin/includes/configure.php file to be '/' instead of giving it the full path from the server's root to the store's root directory.

Thanks for the response. I was not having any issues with logging into admin prior to installing Admin Profiles, so therefore i assumed it was an issue with the installation, however I did have just a '/' in for define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/'); as you suspected. Unfortunately though, after changing it to ('DIR_FS_CATALOG', 'D:/IntetPub/wwwroot/wideformatoutlet.com/wfo/store/'); i am still receiving the same error. Test server is on a windows server.

Is my path not specified correctly? Any additional help would be greatly appreciated.

Been a long time since I used IIS, but I believe your path should start D:/Inetpub/ but I don't know whether it is case sensitive or not and if so what the correct combination of upper and lower case would be.

Thanks Kuroi......guess i shouldn't have typed so hastily.....mispelled inetpub when adding it and didn't notice it on the error. Definitely nice having a fresh set of eyes checking it out for me. I am testing my "restore" abilities... and cannot get the Admin Profiles. I backed up my database, installed new/clean 1.3.7 on my laptop, restored the database and ftp'ed all files from ISP (where I had the Admin Profiles installed).
I did not installed any mods on my new site (dual pricing, minimum order, ceon cc, admin profiles) thinking it will all come with restored database and all copied files (I kept the "local" config.php in admin/include and in /include). All is working with the exception of Admin Profiles. I run the sql, it did not give me an error. When that did not work I dumped the database and restore them again, but still no Admin Profiles. What is the proper procedure to do it?

When I click on Image Handler in admin tools I receive this error after I installed Admin Profiles on a working test site. The site has the following mods installed:
Image Handler2, minimum order, dual pricing, ceon cc
I do not get the icon in admin tools to set Profiles either. I copied all the files into directories, did the box modifications as indicated.
Obviously I am doing something wrong, but cannot figure out what. This is my second attempt (on a different site). See my previous post.
