which files I must modify in order to change the contents and the lead out of the emails the shop send when somebody do the purchase?

I know you get tired of the same questions over and over, but when I look in /emails (I'm assuming you mean /email), I see nothing but a bunch of HTML files that contain no real text but instead make reference to a bunch of variables, such as $EMAIL_GREETING, $EMAIL_MESSAGE_HTML, etc. Where are those variables defined?

And while I'm at it, ya see http://www.quadstatefheo.com/cart/, where it says:

I can't for the life of me remember how to change that.

Zencart is a good product, but my GOD it's so NOT intuitive. Some things you can change in the admin panel, some things you have to go into the templates to change, some things have to be changed in the language files, some things that are changeable in the admin panel are in unexpected places... I suppose it's the nature of the beast with an open-source project, but wow, it's hard to configure.

You can change some of those variables (like the disclaimer and copyright info) in includes/languages/english/email_extras.php.

I'm still trying to find where I can edit everything else, like the specific message that is included with forgotten password emails, etc...

This might help you, you need to modify this file for example to change your welcome email details, includes\languages\english\YOUR_TEMPLATE\create_account.php (copy it into your Override folder from the 'english' folder.

You also should create an override folder here, should you need to modify the email templates layout
email\YOUR_TEMPLATE

Just a note - the /email folder does not currently support the overrides system so you will want to preserve these altered files if you upgrade....or alyays backup befor doing any upgrade

I know this done thread was started a while back but just in case anyone comes across it looking for answers, you can find outhr email variables set in languages/english/checkout_process.php

I'm trying to figure out where to edit the e-mail sent when you update an orders status?

The e-mail sent does not include a footer or anything... here are the contents:

And that's all it has. I'd like to be able to add the e-mail footer here and a description of what each status means (since I've added a few).
