The SQL is

INSERT INTO configuration (configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, set_function, date_added) VALUES ('Allow Guest To Ask A Product Question', 'ALLOW_GUEST_TO_ASK_A_QUESTION', 'true', 'Allow guests to ask a question about a product', '12', '24', 'zen_cfg_select_option(array(\'true\', \'false\'), ', now());

I inserted the SQL back in and made sure the Allow Guest is True, then used the header_php.php provided but it still won't work. Same error, Sorry I don't understand your e-mail address. Which I know really mean's, you need to be logged in to ask a question.

Anybody got a copy of the previous version please, mine is not working now and I really need to have the Allow Guest Tell a Freind active.

Huh? If you download the latest version of Ask A Question, guests are allowed to ask a question. Tell a friend is built in software, not a contribution, with a different switch.

Well my tell a friend work's fine too. What we're the configuration options available, looking at the readme file

Allow Guest To Ask A Product Question ...
Ask A Question Email To: ...
Ask A Question Name To ...

The last two are not there since i ran the cleanup.sql Have you got the sql used, maybe that's why it won't work.

Have you installed the new software? Because if you've deleted the database settings that the old software used without installing the new software, it's not going to work that well.

NONE of the three settings you've mentioned are used in the new software.

If you're running 1.3.0 or greater, you should be able to install the new software and be good to go.

Yes, I did. I'm running zen cart 1.3.7. I will re-install the new versions again, but how do you tell it to allow guests if you delete the Configuration setting??

It Always Allows Guests. There Is No Config Setting.

ok, thanks for the help. But it still isn't working. I'm thinking it's not compatible with 1.3.7? I remember some changes we're made to the e-mailing system in the new zen cart. If you login as a user and ask a question it is fine. Maybe it's using the e-mail settings of a logged in user. But as a guest it's the same, I don't understand your e-mail address error on every address I try. You can see what I mean, it's the site in my signature.

The mod works fine on my 1.37 shop, whether not logged in (as guest) or if logged in.

Unless you want spammers attempting to take advantage of your AAQ form (or contact form) you should consider requiring a login to sent the message. Everything has its pros and cons.
