Sorry, but you've got me utterly confused. If you've uninstalled via the admin and removed the files, of course they won't come back up... but I suppose that depends on what you mean by "they".

What exactly are you trying to do?

I have it all worked out now, but as I was trying to reinstall it, I took it back to the way the files where before it was installed.

So there the file 0 and file 1....so on didn't get made after the reinstall, but I had them from my backup so I just put them back in, it might have been a file permission thing, not sure.

I'm having some problems with Image Handler 2 and Zen 1.3.6. Some of my large images are not resizing at all (adjusting to the IM2 standard large size).

    What could be causing this?

    Yeah,

I'm updating to 1.3.7 right now. Hoping that and the new IH2 will solve the problems.

Well, I succesfully upgraded to 1.3.7, then made sure I had the latest IH2 installed, and it works perfectly. So, apparantly, IH2 and 1.3.6 must not play well together without some modifications. Anyway, problem solved!

Thanks T! Hope no one else is having any problems with that combination as I did. But, even if they aren't, upgrading to 1.3.7 is not only painless, but HIGHLY reccomended! There is just so much that has been fixed in the latest release, and so many issues that have been addressed.

I'm going to say my piece and leave.

At someone's suggestion, I'm not going to point fingers, I downloaded IH2 and tried to follow the installation instructions.

I kept looking and looking and reading and reading, but the intalltion instructions were nowhere to be found.

I'm sorry Tim, with all due respect, this does not pass for installation instructions, you don't have the right to call this documentation.

I'm not a PHP programmer, but I engineer IBM390 enterprise-wide systems that transact billions of dollars daily, and I couldn't figure out how to install this "contribution" based on this fragment of sentence.

Copy the following directories into your Zen Cart folder.
    • <LI class=level1>admin
      <LI class=level1>bmz_cache
      <LI class=level1>images
    • includes
There are more than one admin directory, more than one images directory and more than one includes directory in my Zen Cart folder.

You will forgive me because, as I might add that you are not the only one guilty of thinking that everyone knows what you know and those who don't can read your mind.

Sending folks off on a wild goose chance thru hundreds of thousands of outdated and useless forum posts where PHP geeks and hobbyists backslap each other is not what I would consider to be a good basis for an ecommerce enterprise.

Thanks for the fun, I couldn't imagine how else I would have wanted to spend the last two weeks. I learned something about the value of free software. You don't always get what you paid for.

More than one admin folder in your store root? More than one folder called "images" in your store root? more than one includes folder in your store root? I really doubt it.
It's actually incredibly simple. All the files from the "images" folder in the ZIP file you download need to be uploaded to /yourstore/images.
All the files from the "admin" folder in the ZIP file need to be uploaded to /yourstore/admin (if you have renamed your admin directory, you still upload it to the renamed dir)
Upload the files from "includes" to /yourstore/includes. Make sure that the folder structure stays the same. e.g., the files & folders from /image-handler_2.0-zc13/includes/templates/template_default/css/
need to be uploaded to /yourstore/includes/templates/template_default/css.

Also, did you not see this link:
    http://www.breakmyzencart.com/ih-doc
That is also included in the "README" file in the IH2 download.
by the way, image handler is definitely worth it, and I don't know why more ZC stores don't use it, it considerably enhances the store.
