Store Hours

Does any one know if in the admin there is a way to set the store to only allow purchases during a certain time period? For instance if my stores hours was from 8am - 5pm, Zen Cart would only allow purchases during that time....

Well, I would try setting the site to maintenance for the other hours, from 5:01 p.m. thru 7:59 a.m. every day. This might give you what you want by limiting the hours customers can purchase.

Just curious, but why would you want to close shopping on an internet site ...

Well one store I am working on is for a place that delivers, and they can only deliver during their store hours. Say someone wants to order a pizza, I want to allow them to only purchase a pizza during the store hours since it has to something that has to be made and does not stay good. If it is past store hours they will just have to wait till the next day and order one.

Also they only makes certain foods on certain days, so say they only made muffins monday, tuesday, and thursday, I would want to only allow their purchases on those days.

This would take a bit of coding but it can be done ...

I forget if I added code for the midnight hour to v1.3.7 or if that is coming in v1.3.8 ...

But that helps you determin the time and you could have it switch the Store Status to showcase when you are closed and have that customized a bit so it says: Closed

... or something along that line
