Easy Populate does NOT appear in the Admin config, but is available in Admin tools.

That is correct.. make sure you uploaded all files into correct folder/s, create folder named temp and chmod it to 777.. easypopulate sql file should run when you first click on admin/tools link to easy populate..

I must be using the wrong search technique because I'm sure I've seen this before...

Anybody suggest why EP would suddenly start generating files with all the column headings in a single column and all the data in that column?

My product descriptions contain a table.

When I open the file in excel, it maps this table's cells onto it's cells so that the product description takes up lots of cells. How do I make it so that one cell contains the entire product description, html and all.

Copy all cells/columns to merge..paste into a new text document as unformatted text,
then select all from that new text document...copy, create new column/cell in excel file,
with correct heading, paste...
CHECK.. then remove columns/cells not required..
as always, backup everything important before you attempt this,
and suggest you try one single product first NOT all of them...

Thanks for the advice, but unless I'm missing something, I'd have to do this for every product I have since each description is spread across multiple rows and columns. Also, it appears that I lose all of my html tags when I paste as unformatted text.

Fortunately, I think I just figured it out. I bypassed the automatic formatting by selecting Data > Text to Columns. This brought up the import box that for some reason was being bypassed at all other times. Now the entire description resides in one cell, tags and all.

Does anyone know if there would be any interference between Ultimate SEO and Easy Populate?

For instance, I have a product page titled

...msd-250-2-p-24.html

If I edit my descriptions in Excel, and in the process rearrange the order of the products, then when I reupload it will it still have the same location so that the search engines will still link to it?

NEED HELP!!!!

Have a question about price columns. I know that there is a Normal price column and a specials price column. Now my question is is the some kind of intergration needed to use with profit and margin, so I can do all of the percentages and cost of products before I submit it to my site. Maybe I am just missing something but have look twice on this. Please advise.

sellfourless, you manage pricing using Easy Populate the same way you do with Zen Cart., with the only difference being that Easy Populate gives you the choice of managing the product price with tax included if you wish.

Specials pricing upload as is and will override the product price.

Hi All

I am looking to import Meta tags and descriptions for over 5000 products, in to my site via EP, is there a way that l can import them via Excel and if so, would l need a script in EP to do that.

As it would take me along time to do them one by one. I have seen and read EP advanced and think it is what l am after, but for now, advanced is not needed.

And unfortunaly funds are very tight. sorry to say
